Charles Allen Haines, age 64, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 11, 1947 in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Charles Clayton Haines and Glenola Marie Haines. Charles is preceded in death by his father. Charles is survived by his mother: Glenola, sisters: Carole Plummer (James) and Pamela Tackett (Mark). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving in the Vietnam conflict receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service. Charles was also known by many as the "Walnut Man". Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 AM, Monday May 23, 2011 at the McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 N. Detroit St. Xenia, Ohio 45385 family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
