Obituary of Mrs. Urban -
Mary Zumpfe was born in Krucemburk, Kraj Caslav, Czechoslovakia, August 22, 1869 and died Oct. 24, 1931 at the age of 62 years, 2 months and 2 days.
June 20, 1887 she was united in marriage to Josef Urban. They made their home in Friend for 20 years and she with her husband moved on the farm where she spent the rest of her life.
To this union were born six children, four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Chas. Holba, Garrison, Nebr., Mrs. Chas. Landa, Deweese, Nebr., Edward Urban of Fairmont, Joe and Mary Urban at home, one daughter dying in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death March 21, 1924.
She is survived by one sister and four brothers, Mrs. James Kucera, Edward Zumpfe, John Zumpfe, all of Dorchester, Frank Zumpfe of Oregon and Anton Zumpfe of Friend.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 26 with Mr. Chas. Smrha of Milligan in charge. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
