Alice met her future husband, Jake, at a dance at Seeley's lake. Jake was stationed at Fort Francis E. Warren in Cheyenne, Wyoming and had also come to the dance. They would date 2 years before being married on August 4, 1934, in Greeley, Colorado.
Following their marriage they would work in the Ault, Greeley, and LaSalle area, during which time they would have two daughters, Beverly and Audrey. In 1940 the family moved into their final home in Englewood, Co.
They became active members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Acoma Street in 1950, and were still active up until their death.
