Glenna Roberta Lewis, age 77, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Clark Fork Valley Nursing Home, Plains, MT. Glenna was born April 1, 1930 to Glen and Hazell Campbell in Weiser, Idaho. She grew up in Darby and Plains, graduating from Plains High School in 1948. She worked as a waitress at the Montana Care in Plains, where she met Raymond John Lewis. They were married August 2, 1948 in Plains.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker, mother and wife. She was active in bowling in the early years, bowling on Wendell Stephen's league. She worked in the late 60;s at Ted's Card, and then in later years at the Town Pump.
She and Raymond enjoyed their fishing and camping trips together. She was a life member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, a member of the Plains Senior Citizen's Center, Secretary of Council on Aging for Sanders County, a member of the Royal Neighbors, and a member of the Plains Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Glenna is survived by her daughters: Helen (Dennis) Ovitt and Ellen (Bob) Marten, both of Plains, five grandchildren: Kim (Richard) Kinzie, Cory (Larri-Jo) Ovitt, both of Plains, Glen Marten, Boulder, MT, Krista (Tom) Prill of Billings, MT, Joe (Jennifer) Marten, Missoula, MT, eight great-grandchildren: Sami Jo and Kassidy Kinzie, Brady, Ryan, and Tanner Ovitt, all of Plains, Kaelyn and Kylie Prill of Billings, MT, Cody Marten of Missoula, MT and several nieces and nephews, including Bob Kelly of Plains, Shirley Keiper, Doris Ann Staiger, Brett Jones, Keith Christensen, Jr., Judy Paananen, Dick Goodwill, Bob Bowman, Susie Hellman, Barbara Tayyeb and Frances Hackett.
Glenna was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, her brother Keith Christensen, sisters: Ethelyn Holden, Millie McMullin and Doris Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral took place Monday August 20th, at the Plains Alliance Church, burial followed at the Plains Cemetery. There was a luncheon at the Alliance Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be given to the Plains Alliance Church, the Plains Senior Citizen's Center, or a charity of the donor's choice.
