Unable to locate James in the 1900 or the 1910 Federal Census.

Margaret Eaton, Sylvan Springs, AL, advised she was "unable to find burial place of James S. Eaton and wife Elizabeth "Liz" Cooper. James' death certificate states he died 2/13/1916, in Vance, AL, at age 72 of stomach trouble. Most of the Eatons who lived in Tuscaloosa Co., AL, are buried in Union Cumberland Cemetery at Vance, AL. Lots of them in unmarked graves. Believe James and Elizabeth to be there".
