Succumbs at Windfall;
Ill Five Years
William Bragg, 53, died shortly before 4 o'clock at the home of his mother, Mrs. Laura Bragg, one and one-half miles east of Windfall, following an illness of five years of tuberculosis. His condition had been critical for several weeks. The family resided in Kokomo for some time before his health failed.

Mr Bragg was the son of Rev. George Bragg and Laura (Rush) Bragg and was born and reared in the community in which he died. The father died about five years ago.

Burial will be in Phlox Cemetery.

to Lung Trouble of Long
Standing Thursday.
William Bragg, life-long resident of the Hazel Dell community, with the exception of a few years spent in Elwood, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Laura (Rush) Bragg of that vicinity Thursday afternoon at 3:40 o'clock, death ending a Illness of five years. Lung trouble, which defied all efforts of medical science, caused death, his condition having been critical for some time and the death was not unexpected. For several months he had been bedfast.
Funeral services a r e to be at the Hazel Dell Friends church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Polly (Couch) Bowman in charge and burial will follow in the Phlox cemetery. William Bragg was born on a farm three miles southeast of Windfall 53 years ago, being one of eight children born to Rev. George and Laura (Rush) Bragg.
The mother being a pioneer of the Hazel Dell community and the last of thirteen children of David and Mary Rush early settlers of that section. Rev. George Bragg was twice married his first wife being Miss Jennie Russell of Hamilton County. William Bragg, a son by the second marriage, was united in marriage to Miss Nora Abbott of Morgan County and the widow a n d six children survive. The children are Roy, Ralph, Doris and Dorothy, twins, Florence and Eugene, all employed in Elwood. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, John Bragg of Point Isabel; Mrs. Effie Shaw of Elwood; Mrs. Maude Fields and Mrs. Angie Morrison of Windfall; Mrs. Ethyl Smith of Kokomo and Mrs. Iva Snyder of Hemlock. A half-brother, Frank Bragg resides near Leisure and a half-sister, Mrs. Martha Gold in California. The deceased was a life-long member of the Hazel Dell Friends church of which his father one time served as pastor. The father a civil war veteran lost an arm i n service and was one of the well known residents of that community.
