Mrs. Katherine Knights died at her home in Burns on Thursday, Demember 23rd, 1897, of paralysis at the age of seventy years. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Burns. Her funeral services were held at her late home on Sunday, December 26th and her remains were laid to rest in the Doty's Corners cemetery. Rev. F. E. Davis, of Fremont, officiated. She leaves to mourn her loss besides a host of friends five son, Charles, Harman and Freeman Knights, of Burns; George Knights, of Hornellsville; Truman Knights, of Miller Hill; five daughters, Jennie and Emma Knights, of Burns; Mrs. Dennis Karns, who resides south of this village, Mrs. Fred Harter, of Dansville; Mrs Isaac Ritenburg, of this village, and three brothers, Aaron Shutt, of Dansville; Jacob Shutt, of Rochester, and Paul Shutt, of Ossian.
