Guy Ashley Dodge was born May 16,1893 at Willow Creek, Idaho son of Frank Monro and Mary Lodema Strong Dodge. He attended schools at Fairview and Ucon. He farmed at Ucon and was watermaster of Fairview Canal for a number of years. He has worked for Bonneville County in the Weed spraying department for the last five years.
Guy married Isabelle Murray, April 4, 1917 in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. She died May 21, 1917. He married Blanche Empey Oct. 11, 1923, in the St. George, Utah, LDS Temple. She died Aug. 23, 1938. He married Verla Elaine Tanner Andrus, Feb. 24, 1940 in Las Vegas, Nev. They were later divorced in 1949. He married Fanny Fern Cheney, June 6, 1962, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple
He was a member of the LDS Church. In his younger days he helped manage the LDS recreation hall at Ucon. He was a Seventy in the South Idaho Falls Stake and a home teacher in the 6th Ward. A number of years ago he belonged to the Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his widow; the following son and daughters; Guy Monroe(Joyce)Dodge and Mrs Richard(Lodema) Black both of Salmon, Mrs George (Isabelle) Anderson, North Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Vern (Darlene) Scott, Ririe, Mrs. Jim (Bertha Elaine) Woolsey, Swan Valley, Mrs. Bruce (Deslie Joan) Beasley, Fontana, Calif.; a stepson Floyd Andrus, California; 23 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two sisters; Mrs. Andrew (Helen) Tyler, Ucon and Mrs. Maude Thompson, Springville, Utah. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ucon LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Alan J. Smith of the 6th LDS Ward, Idaho Falls, officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:30 until 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and Monday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
