DEBRUYN-Louis DeBruyn, age 84, of Cedar Springs, formerly of Winter Haven, FL. and Wabasis Lake died Saturday, December 5, 1998 at his home. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Arlene (Buffum) DeBruyn; children, Kathleen Anderson of Cedar Springs and Janet (Richard) Enell of Grand Rapids: grandchildren, Erika (Daniel) Clark, Kristen Anderson, Ronald Anderson, Jennifer (Joseph) Peters, Jill and Julie Enell; great-grandchildren, Cassondra and Allysha Peters, Kyle and Erin Clark; sisters, Clara Steinbrecker and Ida VanderLinde; sister-in-laws, Verona, Ceil, and Josephine DeBruyn. Mr. DeBruyn was a W.W. II veteran and a member of the Creston V.F.W Post #3023, the American Legion and a retired professional golfer. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE at Three Mile Rd. with the Rev. Ben Lester of Cedar Springs United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in Graceland Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet his family from 7 to 9 PM Monday at the chapel. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland Home.
