Arthur F. Bisson, 59, of South Windsor, executive director of the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce, died Sunday, (July 29, 2001) at a chamber of commerce conference in Delaware. Born in Lewiston, ME on June 19, 1942, son of the late Theodore and Gertrude (Thiele) Bisson, he had lived in South Windsor for the last 10 months. Mr. Bisson was a member of the advisory board of Rockville Bank, South Windsor, was a member of CBIA, the American Legion, Abe E. Miller, Post 133, South Windsor and The Rotary Club of South Windsor. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Robert Duff of Independence, MO; three brothers, Daniel, Evariste and Dennis, all in Maine; four sisters, Anita Chludzinski of Erie, PA, Lorraine Rickard of Sutton, MA, Lynn Kearney of Reno, NV, and Alice Bisson-Barnes of San Bruno, CA; a granddaughter, Roxie May Duff; many nieces and nephews; his companion, Lise Desjardins in Canada; and his former wife, Judith (Baker) Bisson of Windsor, ME. Memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 11, 1 p.m., in Wapping Community Church, 1790 Ellington Rd., South Windsor. Burial will be in Maine State Veterans Cemetery, Augusta, ME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Jennifer Duff c/o Rockville Bank, 1645 Ellington Rd., South Windsor, 06074. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, South Windsor, has care of arrangements.
