Robert died in his home at age 78. Preceded in death by his wife, Pearl F. Crabtree, originally of Wytheville, VA.; survived by daughter Donna Reynolds and 3 grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy & Air Force, during the Vietnam War. He had been a professional photographer & electrician, avid carpenter, gardner & story teller.

Interment: Davis Cemetery, Wythe Co., Virginia, in the late summer of 2011.
