He was a native of Pennsylvania, but had lived in Bulloch County for the past 38 years. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Old Fellowship Baptist Church, the Bulloch County Farm Bureau and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith W. Hutchison, Stilson; a daughter, Mrs. Carol H. Duke, Jonesboro; a son, Richard W. Hutchison, Statesboro; his mother, Mrs. Alice L. Howell and a sister, Mrs. Betty H. Kane, both of Binghamton, N.Y. and six grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of the Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with Dr. J. Robert Smith and the Rev. Timothy Squire officiating. Burial will be in the Old Fellowship Church cemetery.
