Ellen Jeanette (Swanner) Bairrington, 70, of Golinda, passed away at her home Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Robinson with the Rev. Ivan Ker and the Rev. Jim Daniels officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Ellen Jeanette was born in Chilton, Texas, to the late C.B. and Cleo (Brock) Swanner. She was a lifelong resident of Falls and McLennan County, a homemaker and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Guthrie; and a brother, Homer Swanner.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Harold Bairrington, of Golinda; sons, Berry Bairrington and wife, Mitzie, of Robinson, and Bob Bairrington and wife, Denise, of Utica, Miss., daughters, Brenda Thompson, and Barbara Bairrington, both of Golinda; grandchildren, Lacy and husband, Nathan, Jessica, Brandon, Tyler, Ashlyn, Brady, Cody, Matthew, and Abigail; brother, C.B. Swanner Jr. and wife, Dorothy, of Waxahachie; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
