Funeral services for Myrtle Allen, 89, a resident of Potsdam Nursing home, were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 7, 1986) at Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam. Mrs. Allen died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 1986).
Surviving are several cousins: Herbert Judd, Canton, Mrs. Mamie Leonard, and Mrs. Laurie Dennison, Syracuse.
Mrs. Allen was born July 23, 1897, daughter of Arthur and Mildred Severance Shipman. She married Harold Allen on June 1, 1922. He died in 1959.
The couple worked as caretakers for the W.A. Rockefeller Estate on Bay Pond in Paul Smith's, N.Y.
