Agnes Grigsy,71, of Royal oak since 1957, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
She was born June 7, 1930, in Petoskey.
Mrs. Grigsby was active in the Campfire Girls for almost 30 years, serving on the district council and as a troop leader and trainer. She was also a lunchroom monitor in the Royal oak school system, a teller at Wayne-Oakland Bank and a bookkeeper at the Royal Music shop in Royal oak.
She enjoyed needlepoint and was a volunteer at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle, whom she married June 26, 1948, in Petoskey; children,Tony(Gwen) Grigsy of Round Rock,Texas, Kathy Fowler 0f Torch Lake,Kim(Ron)Wilson of Detroit,Patti Grigsby of Hazel Park and Tom Grigsby of San Diego, Calif.;siblings, Jim(Fran) Foster, Art(Carol)Foster, Andy(Betty)Foster,Margaret Pennell and Pat(Bud)Winters, all of Michigan,and Jack(Eve)Foster and Leo(Mary)Foster, all of Virginia; and grandchildren, Megan,Kelly,Bill,Dharma and Sonya.
Services were held Friday,Feb. 22, in Royal Oak.
