THE PARIS NEWS, June 30, 2011, page 3. - CLARKSVILLE - Burl Robinson, 65, of Bogata, passed away June 26, 2011, at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, in Bogata Cemetery with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial follows in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 27, 1945, in the MCCURRY Community of Red River County, to James "Jim" and Ollie Ruth Burns Robinson. Before retiring, he was a purchasing agent for Texas Department of Transportation. He loved spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Oak Ridge Hunting Club and an expert gardener. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his son, Aaron Robinson and wife, Dee Ann, of Clarksville; grandson, Jace Robinson; sister, Reba Mitchell and husband, Marion, of Bogata; nephew, Mark Mitchell and wife, Debbie, of Bogata; special friends, Toad, Chrissy and Wade Witmer; and other relatives and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers are Marion Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Toad Witmer, Wade Witmer, Bill Buckman, Donnie Strain, Charlie Lewis, David Phelps Jr., Hoopie Randolph and Jerry Simpson.
