Cynthia D. Saunders, 57, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at 4:55 a.m. at her home.
A native of Columbia, she was the wife of William "Bill" Saunders and daughter of Gladys Lee of Columbia and the late G.D. Harrison. She first joined First Baptist Church of New York City and later moved to Gaffney and joined Pine Grove Baptist Church in Blacksburg. Before moving to Gaffney, she was a bus driver with Metropolitan Transportation in New York City.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are a son, Charles Macom of Trenton, N.J.; a sister, Willadean Grines of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Larry Patterson and Dexter Patterson of Columbia; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
