"Albina Balmer.
Albina, widow of Benjamin Balmer, died on Sunday at the home of S. D. Hoover, in West Earl township. Her age was 79 years, 4 months and 11 days. She was ill for about six weeks and death resulted from general debility. Her husband was one of the first settlers of the community known as Balmerstown. The following brothers and sisters survive: Abram Kendig [sic], Durlach; Levi Kendig [sic], Strasburg; E. R. Kendig [sic], Florida; Rohrer Kendig [sic], Cleveland; Mrs. J. G. Detterline, Reading; Mrs. S. D. Hoover, West Earl township. The funeral was held on Thursday morning with services and interment at Groffdale. Rev. Hangen, of Reading, preached. Funeral Director Henninger had charge."
