Obituary:
Melvin George Woolever, 69, Ashville, died yesterday afternoon in Mercy Hospital, Columbus. He was a Walnut Twp. Farmer. He was born in Pickaway County, Aug. 14, 1890, the son of Jonah and Catherine Kellstadt Woolever.
He is survived by his wife, Lerlie Goodman Woolever; twin sons, Ralph and Royce, Ashville; five grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Viola Woolever and Mrs. Rose Barnhart, Circleville; two brothers, Ralph, Pickaway Twp., and Archie, York, Neb.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bastian Funeral Home, Ashville, with the Rev. Virgil Close officiating.
Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home.

Among the marriage licenses issued in Pickaway County last week, with pleasure we note the following: Melvin Woolever, farmer, Walnut township, aged 27 , and Lerlie Goodman of Pickaway township.
The wedding was solemnized by Rev. Fields at the M.E. parsonage on Sunday evening, December 2nd. The bridal couple was unattended and after the marriage returned to the home of the bride's father, Mr.Robert Goodman.
The groom is a member of a prominent family residing near Circleville, a family of progressive farmers and teachers and are very popular in the community in which they live.
The bride is a lady who was born and raised among us. As a housekeeper she has but few equals, and in the social set was the life of a party or gathering. Always prominent in church, Sunday School and social workings, she has a long list of friends who are extending congratulations and very best wishes for the future happiness and welfare of Mr. and Mrs. Woolever.
