Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Spriggs, aged 66 years, 2 months and 28 days, wife of A. B. Spriggs, died in City Hospital, Martinsburg, on Friday, May 22.

A few days prior to her death the other limb was amputated. After the operation she rallied and for a time hopes were high out for her recovery.

Mrs. Spriggs had been a devoted member of the United Brethren church for 46 years.

Funeral services were held in Highland U. B. church Sunday by the pastor, Rev. Wm. E. Wolfe. Interment was in the adjacent cemetery.

Surviving the deceased are her husband, three sons, Guy, Charles and Robert; one daughter, Mrs. Orlando Aulabaugh; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Michael and Mrs. Lillian Wolfe; one brother, Geo. H. Allemong, and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Jas. R. S. Unger, Jos. W. Unger, Jos. A. McCoy, Calvin Weber, E. B. Ganoe and Jas. F. Michael.

Among those from out of the county to attend the funeral were: Clarence Spriggs and family, Gettysburg, Pa., Mrs. Lorenza Hovermale, Indian Springs, Md., and Mrs. Cordie Michael, Martinsburg.
