Not certain Harriet is buried here with her husband, but seems likely, since she died in Blaine County and services were in Chinook.

She was born in Walbeck [sic], Neb. and married James Claridge in 1895. They homesteaded at Wood Coulee, north of Zurich, where Mrs. Claridge was postmistress until 1921, when they moved to Zurich to make their home.

Survivors include sons, Orpheus and Ray, Zurich; Frank, Fargo, N.D., and James, Chinook; daughters, Ruth Hand, San Mateo, Calif.; Betty Ludwig, Long Beach, Calif.; Bertha Peterson, Lewistown; Hazel Burns, Zurich; Norma Harder, Dutton; Leona Oberg, Havre; 26 grandchildren, and 47 great-grandchildren.

Although her obit says she was born in Nebraska, early census records indicate she was born in Iowa before the family moved to Nebraska in the Wolbach area.

Her marriage record was found in Nance County, Nebraska. Married at Fullerton March 11, 1896.
