She died July 14, 1903 at Sullivan aged 44 years, 2 months and 16 days and was buried in the family plot in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Sullivan, Wisconsin. Her same style gravestone is inscribed "Lillian Higbie 1859 – 1903." Their fifteen children were:

In the 1910 U.S. Census Eason Higbie was listed as a 61 year old widower and odd job laborer living in a rented house in Sullivan Township, Jefferson County, Wisconsin.
Also buried in the same plot in Pleasant Valley were; Lucille Higbie Pollack, 1916 - 1936; and Linda Peters, 1943 - 1943. This may indicate that they are related to Eason Higbie in some manner.
