SON OF OCEANA SUPT. OF POOR DIES SUDDENLY

Lawrence, 19 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Achterhof, died at the Oceana hospital Friday, January 27th, following a major operation. His death was a severe shock not only to his relatives but his many close friends and acquaintances, who little realized the seriousness of his physical condition which necessitated his going under the knife.

He leaves to mourn his mother and father, two brothers, John and Frederic at home, one sister, Mrs. Vera Glover of Hart, one half brother, Bernath Crisman of Hart and one half sister, Mrs. Agnes Ernst of Muskegon.

Lawrence spent most of his life at Ferry but was well known in the western part of Oceana County, always of pleasant disposition, he won many friends wherever he went and will be missed by all.

In Memory
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same,
We often sit and think of you
And wish you back again.
We think of you in silence,
No eyes can see us weep—
But many a silent tear we shed
When others are asleep.

Mr. and Mrs. J Achterhof
John and Frederic
Mrs. Vera Glover
Mr. Bernath Crisman
Mrs. Agnes Ernst
