Harry Horwood was a well-known stained glass designer and maker. He created works worldwide. His works include churches in England, the Vanderbilt Mansion in New York City, the Opera House and Town Hall in Ogdensburg, NY. In Prescott, Ontario, where he had a studio, he created windows for the J.P. Wiser Mansion and St. Johns Anglican Church. Most notable was his work at Canada's Parliamentary Library in Ottawa, which was, unfortunately, lost to fire in 1919. He also created the window for the Blue Church, which looks over his final resting place today.
