Born in Schenectady, Mr. Kindt was a 1983 graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School and later attended the State University at Alfred.
He was general manager of Irwin Elevator in Albany until the onset of illness.
From 1989 to 1990, he was the Exalted Ruler of the Esperance Elks Lodge, the youngest Exalted Ruler in the Elks nationwide.
At one time, Mr. Kindt served with the Army as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Central Bridge.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Matice Kindt; a daughter, Brittany Lynn Kindt; a son, Brady Jacob Kindt; his parents, Harry "Bud" and Sandra Kindt of Esperance; two sisters, Michelle A. Kindt-Jones of Esperance and Patricia I. Kindt-Myers of Amsterdam; and his maternal grandmother, Irene Thorpe of Vermont.
Services were at the Langan Funeral Home, 227 Main St., Schoharie, and at Bethany Lutheran Church.
Burial was in the Sloansville Valley Cemetery.
