Mary Ann Pritchard was born to Aquilla Carvel Pritchard and Martha Jane "Patsy' Weatherly Pritchard. Mary Ann had 13 siblings. Mary Ann was the second wife of Abraham Dumas Elkins. They married April 17, 1862 in Osceola, St. Clair Co., MO.
Abraham had first been married to Elisha Jane (Piper) and they had two sons, Samuel S. and Abraham D., Jr. both died in 1862. Their mother, Elisha Jane died Aug 1860 prior to their deaths.
Mary Ann and Abraham had 7 children. 3 daughters and 4 sons. They were: William Edward, Tennessee C., James Franklin, Robert Dumas, Ada, Ida and Jesse Elkins. After Abraham died, Mary Ann went to Oklahoma and lived the remainder of her life with her daughters, Tennessee, Ada and Ida.
