Jane Kathryn (Donnellan) Flynn, 82 passed away peacefully March 9, 2010 in Michigan surrounded by her loving children. Jane had lived with her daughter Mary in Berkley MI since October of 2008 until moving to The Sanctuary at Alexander in Royal Oak MI in April of 2009 with many dear friends and a loving staff who cared for her.

Mrs. Flynn was born September 22, 1927 in Webster and had lived in Oxford and Worcester with her family into her adulthood before moving to Grafton. Beginning in her childhood and throughout her entire life Jane had a deep love for music becoming an accomplished pianist, accordianist and singer. A devout Catholic she made several Novenas weekly at her family parish, Our Lady of Lourdes in Worcester. Jane received a diploma from secretarial school in the late 1940’s and began working at New England Telephone Co. where she met John Francis Flynn of Shrewsbury who she married October 2nd 1954 building their home on Oak St. in Grafton where they raised their six children. As their last children entered elementary school Jane returned to work as a Nursing Aide at Shrewsbury Nursing Home and then Keith Hill Nursing Home in Grafton. She then became Executive Secretary to The Vice President at Washington Mills Abrasives Co. in North Grafton retiring in 1989.

Jane is preceded in death by her loving and wonderful husband of 48 years John Francis Flynn who passed May 9th 2003, her parents who she loved dearly Frank (1974) and Kathryn (1972) Mason Donnellan, also her beloved brothers Francis (2009), Edward (1998) and her brother in law Bob Ardiff (2009). She is survived by .................

Flowers which Jane loved are welcome or the family asks that you consider a donation in her name to The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham MA 01701. Funeral & Calling Hours The family invites all to join them at calling hours Sunday March 14th in The Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton from 4 to 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Jane Monday March 15th at 10 am in St. Philip’s Catholic Church 12 West St. Grafton Center. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in St. Philip’s Cemetery in Grafton.
