Bernard Henrich Peppenhorst father is Johan Bernard Pepenhorst, his mother is Mary Catharine Zeller they are from the city of Brock. His godparents are Bernd Henrich Roberman and Gedrudis L Lohman.

Bernhardt came to the United States sometime before 1840. He married Gertrude Boerger August 11, 1839 at Germantown, Clinton County, Illinois. Herman H Peppenhorst, 17, and Catherine, 8, both born in Germany, are found with the family in the 1850 District 68, Clinton County, IL Census. Are they children of Bernard from a previous marriage, or possibly a niece and nephew?? The family listed in 1850 are Bernard, 41; Gertrude, 40; Herman H, 17; Catherine,8; Bernard N, 7; Mary Ann, 5; Gertrude, 2; and John, 3 months.

Children not linked below are Herman H, born 1833, and Mary Ann born 1845. She may be Catherine Peppenhorst Muehling FAG# 137747770, but I can't be sure.
