FORT RIPLEY -- Peter J. DeRosier, resident of Fort Ripley, died Sept. 18, 2004, at his home.
Peter was born on May 28, 1929, in St. Mathias Township, to Lucien and Mabel (Avery) DeRosier and was a lifetime resident of the Brainerd area. He was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church.
He is survived by: four sons, Larry and Sandy of Fort Ripley, Lucien and Debbi of Fort Ripley, Bradley and Maria of Fort Ripley, Brian and Lynn of Brainerd; four daughters, Pamela and Robert Holmes of Brainerd, Tammy and Brad Peterson of Nisswa, Terri and Darren Thiesse of Big Lake, Renee and Richard Bestul of Brainerd; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Howard DeRosier of Brainerd, Ronald DeRosier of Fort Ripley, DuWayne DeRosier of Fort Ripley, Charles DeRosier of Brainerd; three sisters, Lois Ehmke of Brainerd, Geri Villnow of Brainerd, Theresa Thesing of Elk River.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, his parents, granddaughter Stephanie Thiesse and two sisters, Opal Johns and Charlotte Stevens.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at St. Mathias Catholic Church with Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. Mathias Cemetery.
Visitation times are Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
