He is survived by 10 children, Rick of Pahrump, Julie Van Hoff of Tucson, Jaci Zemptseff of Las Vegas, Joe of Idaho, Stella Stice of Las Vegas, Joyce Dohme of Las Vegas, Ben Theobald of San Francisco, Gary Thayer of Utah, Charles Thayer of Utah and Grace Grundman of Las Vegas; a brother, John of Moline, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
