John was baptized 27 April 1769. He married Alice Jones In his will he refers to 'rest of my heirs being Mary N. Cottman, James Major and Hannah Major and Alice J. Major the rest residue and remainder to be divided equally.' Mary N. Cottman was married to John Cottman.
