Mary McClintock Dies in Hospital
Lapel, April 21 (Spl)---Mrs. Mary Katherine McClintock, age 82, died this afternoon at 5:15 o'clock at St. John's hospital, Anderson, following an illness of three weeks. The body was taken to the Fisher Brothers funeral home and final rites will be conducted Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Lapel Methodist church by the Rev. E.S. Morford and the Rev. Robert Campbell. Interment will be in the Perkinsville cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Ray McClintock, Lapel, and Loren McClintock, Anderson; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Whelchel, Fortville, and Mrs. Gladys Lewis, Lapel; two brothers, Oliver Hershberger [Hersberger] and Howard Hershberger [Hersberger], both of Lapel; a sister, Mrs. Ella Sears, Lapel; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McClintock was a member of the Lapel Methodist church. She was a native of Madison county and had lived in this community her entire life. She was the widow of the late Clark McClintock, who died nine years ago.
