"Joe Bray, 79, Pulaski County farmer, died last Thursday at his home in Nancy, following an illness of two months.
A lifelong resident of this county, he was born June 2, 1878, the son of the late Steve and Sarah Daws Bray. He married Nancy Jane Eads in 1897 and four children were born to them. Mrs. Bray preceded him in death.
Mr. Bray was a devout and faithful member of the New Hope Baptist Church for many years.
Mr. Bray is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Wilson, Somerset, three sons, George Bray, Mansfield, Ill., Jonnie Bray, Weldon, Ill, and Columbus Bray, Cain's Store, one sister, Mary Francis Bray, Nancy.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the New Hope Baptist Church, the Rev. Warren Carroll officiating. Burial was in the New Hope cemetery."
