Born on August 2, 1917 in New York City, she was the daughter to the late John Romanoff and Rose (Sitarz) Romanoff. Helen married Delbert H. Loux on December 23, 1943 in Jewett City. He predeceased her. She was employed as a secretary for many years at the Norwich State Hospital until her retirement in 1980.
She is survived by sons, Michael Loux of Arizona, Daniel Loux, and Jonathon Loux of Canterbury; sister, Anna Hart of Canterbury; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brother, William Romanoff.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Leffler Funeral Home, 30 N. Main St., Jewett City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, Jewett City. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Griswold.
