OBIT: Bowie County Citizens Tribune, 13 Jan 2010: Horace C. Haddock, age 81, of Texarkana, Texas died Saturday, January 9, 2010 in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. Haddock was born in Spring Hill Community in DeKalb, Texas. He was owner and operator of Haddock's Station and Truck Stop for 35 years. He was a member of Red Lick Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mary Calvit Haddock; a son-in-law, Jim McLain; a sister, Alma Leigh Waldron; and a brother-in-law, Johnny Brewer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Haddock Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Murphy and Doc Holloway officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
