Mrs. Betts was born in Negaunee, Michigan on February 15, 1910 and passed away at the Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport on May 1. She had been a resident of Siletz for about 13 years.
Besides her husband, Donald, Mrs. Betts is survived by five children; John of Mosier, Mrs. Grace King, also of Mosier. Mrs. Coralie V. King of Drain, and Magnus and Thomas, both of Siletz; two brothers, Tom Paull and Bob Prout, both of Minnesota; four sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Stanaway and Mrs. Jack Hockay, both of Minnesota and Mrs. Al Haule and Mrs. William Chapman, both of Michigan, and eight grandchildren.
Burial was in the Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
