Pansy Virginia Johnson Brown, age 83, widow of Wesley F. Brown, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Johnson City Medical Center, in Johnson City, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Suits; and two brothers, Harvey C. and Clifton Johnson. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Geneva and Herman Kirk of Troutdale; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Cecil and Lynne Brown of Meadowview, Va., and Roger L. Brown of Wytheville, Va.; one sister, Retha Grubb of Troutdale; one brother, J. B. Johnson of Troutdale; three grandchildren, Amy Taylor and husband, Kevin, Jessica Harrison and husband, Brian, and Rebecca Johnson and husband, Jamie; four great-grandchildren, Seth Taylor, Jadyn Johnson, Blake Harrison and Aiden Harrison; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Williams, the Rev. Dennis Eller and the Rev. Sam Blevins officiating. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Troutdale Cemetery, Troutdale, Va. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
