Wife of John Young, daughter of Nathaniel Mitchell (1728-1773) and Abigail Harris Mitchell (1731 - ), both of New Jersey.

Hannah Young (71998139)
Hannah (Mitchell) Young was the eldest of 10 children of Nathaniel Mitchell (1728-1773) and his wife Abigail (Harris) Mitchell Conkling (1731-1822) originally from Essex County, New Jersey.
Hannah's mother Abigail was widowed twice. Hannah was baptized at St. John's Episcopal Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey on October 7, 1753 in the same church where her mother Abigail was baptized in 1731. This historic church dates back to 1707.

Hannah married John Young on November 4, 1768 in Essex County, New Jersey. This marriage produced 8 children. John Young would become a Corporal in the American Revolution.
Hannah and John followed eldest son Nathaniel Young to Knox County, Ohio after his early settlement there in 1807.

Hannah's younger brother William Mitchell (1765-1848) who is buried at nearby Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon "came with the Young's to Knox County, Ohio in 1807." *From "History of Ohio" by Beers, 1895.

Hannah's mother Abigail came to Ohio later on and spent the last years of her life living with son William Mitchell and his wife and became one of the earliest burials in what became Mound View Cemetery.
