Elizabeth M. "Betty" Brown Age 68 died Saturday, August 3, 2002 surrounded by her family at the Christiana Hospital.
Betty was a lifelong homemaker, devoted mother and foster mom through catholic charities. She was an avid gardener and always enjoyed her pets. Betty was a member of the Saint Matthews RC Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Brown in 1996 and her daughter Deborah Zuch who died in 1997.
She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Barbara and David Johnson of Newark, Angela and Ron August of North Wilmington, Charles and Beth Brown, Jr. of Newark, Albert and Donna Brown of Middletown; her beloved grandchildren, Megan, Jeanette, Melanie, Aimee, Heidi, Zachary, Amanda, Ronald, Katherine, Chad, Jeremy and Emma; her great grandchildren, Rebecca and Nicolas; her brother, George K. (Joe) Ford; and sister, Angela Shoop both of San Jose, CA; and dear and caring friend, Sharon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthews RC Church, Maryland & Curtis Aves. on Thursday, August 8, 2002 at 10:30 am. Friends may call at the KRIENEN-GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
