Benjamin Dake made himself much younger in marriage records and tombstone by at least 10 years. Handwriting difficult to read for his birth year. I am positive born in 1771. If born in 1791 which looks like in Bible it would have made him 9 years old in 1800 for the marriage to 1st wife Mahitable Henderson.

Benjamin Dake-Mary N. 'Polly' Colby Dake Bible in possession of Mrs. Earlene Hughes daughter Sara Davis of Texas through the Dake to Haight family. Esther A. Dake m. Edwin Haight. She was daughter from 3rd wife Clarissa Richards. Dake Bible passed down through the Haight family.

He could possibly have been a Richards relation of Clarissa
