Rosa was the daughter of John Richterkessing and Anna Miller. On 19 Sep 1888 she married Charles J. Keller and they had two children, Phillip and Howard. Rosa died of consumption at the age of 34.

Eastern Cemetery was the site of abuse, scandal, and mismanagement for decades. Almost from the very beginning of its existence, multiple burials took place in the same graves, headstones were removed, remains were misplaced or lost, and graves were paved over. The cemetery had space for approximately 30,000 graves but about 130,000 bodies were buried in it. Rosalie's grave is unmarked.
