Franklin W. Wilson, a well known resident of Rural, died at his home in that township at 12 a. m. today of cancer, with which he had been a sufferer for many years. He was a member of one of the leading families of the community and had lived there many years.
Mr. Wilson was 70 years of age on his last birthday, which was on July 2. He was a farmer and stock raiser.
Surviving are the wife, three sons and three daughters, the children being George T. of Davenport, M. O. of Rural, Benjamin F. of West Liberty, Iowa, Mrs. Nellie Metzler of Rural, Mrs. Evaline Hollister of Kensington, Kan., and Mrs. Mary Beck of Rural.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

The funeral of Franklin W. Wilson was held at 10 o'clock this morning from his home in Rural township and at 10:30 from the Beulah church. Interment was in Beulah cemetery.
