Daily National Intelligencer (Washington, DC), Jan. 21, 1853, p. 3:
DEATH OF AN OLD SOLDIER.--MR. GEORGE CLENCY, a soldier of the Revolution, died at his residence in Germantown township, Ohio, on the 9th instant, at the advanced age of one hundred and eight years and seventeen days. The Germantown Emporium says :
"He was born on the 22d of December, 1744, and served during the Revolutionary war ; but we are not able, at present, to say what engagements he fought in. He had voted at every Presidential election since the formation of our Government ; his last vote was given for Gen. Scott. He came to this township nearly fifty years ago, when it was an entire wilderness, where he resided until his death. He received a small pension from the Government; but he lived and died in extreme humble circumstances. Until several years past his memory was excellent, and he possessed a great degree of activity.

George Clency was living with his son/grandson Sidney Clensey in 1850 census, age 105.
The "U.S. Revolutionary War Pensioners 1801-1815, 1818-1872" record lists George Clensy in Ohio receiving payments until his death 9 Jan 1853(date shown).
