Paralysis Claims Mrs. Kelly
The Christian church was in adequate to accommodate those who came to pay their respect to their friend and neighbor, Mrs. J. H. Kelly, who died Monday, February 27. Mrs. Kelly was stricken with paralysis last Saturday. Hattie Anderson was born November 7, 1869 near Harrisburg, Oregon. Her parents W. H. and Lucy Anderson moved to Central Oregon in the early 70s, where she grew to womanhood and was married to J. H. Kelly November 20. 1888. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly made their home in Crook County until 1910 when they moved to their present home about five miles southwest of Scio. Of the five sons born to this union, Arthur, of Salem, Ernest of Newport and Russell of the family home, with the husband, survive. Five sisters were present: Mrs. Josie Byrd of Girabaldi, Mrs. Stella Rannalls, Mrs. Bessie Hinton and Mrs. Janie Barber of Prineville, and Mrs. Lulu Rutherford of Ontario. One sister, Mrs. J. S. Mills of Lone Pine, California, was unable to be present. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with N. C. Lowe in charge and Rev. Rex Dallas of the Christian
