MRS. WAKEFIELD BURIED SUNDAY

The funeral of Mrs. Margaret Warfield, widow of Henry Warfield, was held from the late home and the Brethren Church at Wacker, Sunday afternoon, the Reverend Showalter, pastor, officiating.

The choir composed of Mrs. Showalter, Mrs. Robert Colehour, Charles Kessler and Paul Becker, accompanied by Miss Nellie Bowman a the piano sang several appropriate selections.

Friends who carried the casket were Adam Kness, Charles Nipe, N. R. Kenyon, Arthur Robinson, John Volz and John Renz.

Floral pieces were cared for by Mrs. Mayme Mummert and Mrs. Bessie Kenyon.

Of her nine living children, eight were in attendance at the service. A daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Phillips, of Lima Springs, Iowa, and a daughter-in-law, of Wacker, were unable to attend. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren and six great grandchildren, most of whom were present at the services.

A very large gathering of friends and neighbors was in attendance, the large auditorium of the church being crowded. The services were very impressive and in keeping with the quiet home life Mrs. Warfield had lived.

Burial was made in the cemetery close by the church at Wacker. Frank Brothers of Mount Carroll were in charge.

Excerpts all from The Thomson Review, Illinois - Thursday, January 5, 1933 - Page 5 and Freeport Journal-Standard, Illinois - Saturday, January 7, 1933 - Page 10 and The Thomson Review, Illinois - Thursday, January 12, 1933 - Page 14.
