Willard Long
Willard Long, a native of Scio, died Wednesday at his home in Cloverdale, Tillamook County, on the Oregon coast. He was 80.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday at the Cloverdale Baptist Church. Graveside services are scheduled at 3 p.m. Monday at Miller Cemetery, Scio.
He was born in Scio on Oct. 5, 1900.
He moved in Cloverdale many years ago. Before his retirement he was a long-time millworker and farmer.
Among family survivors is his wife, Etta, of Cloverdale.
He also leaves three sisters, Gloria Thurston and Vista Sims of Scio and Grace Thurston of Newport, and one brother Max Long of Eugene.
Also surviving are three daughters, Thelnor Clark, Seattle; Wilma Starr, Portland, and Shirley Woodman, Milwaukie and several grandchildren.
