Mr. McDowell was born Dec. 18, 1909 in Leon, KY., a son of the late Harry and Bertha Gullett McDowell. He was a veteran of World War II and was a farmer.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dolly Bishop of Olive Hill and Mrs. Bessie Canterberry of Olive Hill; four brothers, John McDowell, Roy McDowell, Raymond McDowell and Harry McDowell, all of Grayson.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, April 6 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Rev. Bill Waugh. Burial was in the Ison Cemetery at Tunnel Hill.
