Mrs. Bishop was born March 18, 1925, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Gullett McDowell.
Her husband, Homer Bishop, preceded her in death.
She was a Baptist.
Surviving are four sons, Homer Bishop Jr., Harold Bishop, John Bishop and Jerry Bishop, all of Olive Hill; six daughters, Faye Sparks of Grayson, and Carolyn Middleton, Mary Howard, Loretta Newman, Paula Bishop and Wendy Stone, all of Olive Hill; two brothers, Roy McDowell and John McDowell, both of Grayson; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 21 at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill by Gary Sparks, and Donald Pope. Burial was in Garvin Ridge Cemetery.
