Esker Sellers 97 Gatesville died Sunday April 5 in a Gatesville nursing home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 7, at the Jonesboro Methodist Church with the Rev. Wesley Jones officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Born Jan 4 1890 to the late C E and Susan Grant in the Hay Valley community Coryell County, she attended school in Hay Valley. July 5 1905 she married Albert J Sellers in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death in 1968.
A housewife, Mrs. Sellers was a charter member of the Jonesboro Friendship and Crafts Club and a member of the Jonesboro United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Baize,
Mrs. Fleta Young and Mrs. Mabel Sue Hanes, and
Mrs. Ellie Warren; two sons, Lawrence Sellers and
Wallace Sellers; four sisters, Wilma Balch and
Nettie Wilson, Bertha Grimlind, and Lillian Lilljedahl;
16 grandchildren, 35 great, grandchildren, and
15 great, great grandchildren.
