Mrs. Frank (Linda) Michaletz, 82, 1510 Fremont St., Algoma, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit, She was born July 6, 1919, in Algoma, to the late William and Linda (Waldo) Schmidt.
Linda was a housewife and also worked at the Algoma Net Company, vonStiehl Winery and was a cook at the Algoma Memorial Hospital for many years. Linda married Frank Michaletz June 17, 1939, in Algoma. He preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1970. Linda was always willing to help out family and friends, especially cooking them meals.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Graydon, Madison, Ind., and her family, Randy, Michelle and Terry; two sons, Lee Michaletz, Green Bay, and his family, Colette, Rebecca and David; and son Gene Michaletz, Algoma; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Madonna Michaletz; and two sisters, Lila Lu Braem; and Gloria Hoppe.
Friends may call at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2001, with the service to follow at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Roy Beyer officiating. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
